In 1991, the Arizona Ski Council ("ASC") was formed to promote skiing and friendship among clubs, safety on the slopes, and general education of the skiing community while experiencing camaraderie of fellow skiers and adventurers.
ASC is a local chapter of the Far West Ski Association ("FWSA"). FWSA is a non-profit organization, and it is the largest ski association in the western United States. FWSA is comprised of ten active councils which represent more than 50,000 skiers and boarders in more than 150 clubs in twelve states — Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
As a result of ASC's membership in the FWSA, individual club members who are part of ASC enjoy substantial group discounts and numerous other advantages offered by and through FWSA.
Clubs who participate in ASC are the Phoenix Ski Club and the Scottsdale Sea and Ski Club. These clubs are not limited to activities in the United States but all over the world. Follow the individual links connected to each club below and open a vast world of opportunity that should meet any and all expectations.

More than just skiing, this active adult social club is going full speed ahead with its year-round, non-profit, social and outdoor activities.
Always open to new suggestions, they pride themselves in offering a variety of events designed to appeal to everybody, whether weekly happy hours (many of them spur-of-the-moment) or exploring fun, out-of-the-way places.
Traveling out of the country or down the road to bike, hike or sail, this group focuses on connecting with new friends and experiences.

SSSC is geared towards active adults 21 years or older, providing year-round activities including, but not limited to: snow skiing and snowboarding for all levels of expertise, hiking, biking, rollerblading, tubing, volleyball, theme parties, camping, day & weekend outings, out-of-town trips, river rafting, wine tasting, boating, water and jet skiing, and scuba diving, as well as weekly happy hours and monthly dinners at various local establishments.
We aren't just a ski club. We ski, golf, travel, hike, bike, dive, camp, dine, do wine tasting, party, and have a good time with friends.
